Au Plaisir 2024

A refreshing and invigorating Colombard from Julien Desrante of La Part au Groles, from a wine region best known for Cognac. The familiar Colombard notes are here - sharp green apple, yellow melon, pear - but with a deeply maritime character from the Charente terroir - sea salt, sea grass, oyster shell, wild fennel, even a little Pastis. Muscadet-adjacent and perfect with shellfish or as a reviving aperitif. And there's plenty of complexity here, if you want to take your time.
