50% Aleatico from new young vines and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon from a nearby friend, both de-stemmed and macerated together for two weeks, before aging for 13 months in oak barriques. This has a lot of rich fruit, red and black, and deep plum, with a luscious, filling mouthweight. But a small word of warning - this is a wine on the wild side, with a strong vein of VA running through it. I think it's delicious, but opinions are like the proverbial. Praemonitus, praemunitus, as they used to say around these parts.
