Coquin de Sort 2023

80-year-old Cinsault meets 70-year-old Grenache in this grand, southern charmer from Thierry Forestier. The gapes were macerated together as whole bunches for 6 days before ageing in tank for 9 months, bottled with no additions. This is a lovely shade of violet in the glass. Lots of dark cherry, wild herbs, with notes of earth and smoke. Voluminous, complex but still fresh. This will develop very well over the next few years. Zero additions. Pure wine.
