Merlot never tasted this good - beautifully supple, complex, dynamic, expressive, with vibrant red and blackcurrants, and lots of savoury notes: bay leaf, herbs, graphite, cedar, spice. All the hallmarks of French Merlot, but with the freshness maxed out. Sort of like a Bordeaux without the pomp and circumstance (or the tannins). A short maceration resulting in a very good time. Zero additions. Pure wine.
