Two Sisters 2023

60/40 Pinot Noir/Pinot Gris blend - all the grapes de-stemmed and fermented together, pressed just before Christmas 2023 and transferred mostly to stainless steel, but with 25% being aged in a well-used Barolo barrique for 6 months, after which the two parts were blended together around Christmas 2024, and a small dose of sulphur was added at bottling. 

A paler red, with a lovely concentration of red and black fruit, some savoury notes, and a gentle richness from the barrel aging. A wine of surprising complexity and detail from our man in the East Midlands, Matt Gregory.
